I am Justin Thurman. I have been in the online news industry since 1998.
Currently I am the Multimedia Director for Consolidated Publishing Company. We are a family owned news company that operate two daily newspapers, four weekly newspapers, two magazines, websites for each of those products as well as three other websites. Our flagship site is progressive and making strides to be a leader in online content despite some technoligical obstacles.
We are in the process of redesigning our news sites currently. We are constantly in the process of changing the culture of a news company with 125 years of history.
I hope to share some of my experiences and views about online news with you.
